Welcome

About SUP & Summit
Thank you for taking the time to click on our website! We offer stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) tuition, guided walking activities for all abilities (from low level taster walks to routes up some of the biggest mountains in the UK), wild camp experiences and navigation courses.

SUP & Summit (formerly known as Get Up 2 Summit) is owned and operated by Jo Reynolds - set up in 2020 - and we all know what happened then! Our rewards come from seeing clients challenge themselves - whether that be completing a low level walk, standing atop a summit (whether it be 200m or 1000m), getting on a paddle board, surviving a night in the wild or understanding how to plan their own walks using a map, compass and technology. Quite often, we hear the phrase "I never thought I'd be able to do that" - music to our ears!

A bit about Jo
The outdoors has been life-enhancing for Jo, the water and hills providing sanctuary from a busy and challenging work life - as well as improving fitness and losing weight. The Lake District, Denbighshire and Snowdonia are very familiar territory, having completed much of the mountain leader training and assessment preparation in Snowdonia and summited all of the 214 'Wainwrights' in the Lakes (many on several occasions).
Jo is a qualified Mountain Leader (Summer), Stand-Up Paddle Board instructor (Sheltered and Exposed Waters), Registered Nurse and qualified outdoor first-aider (REC). She is also a Denbighshire and Snowdonia National Park (Eryri) Tourism Ambassador, having undertaken modules to improve knowledge of these areas.

Jo wears two 'hats' currently - running SUP & Summit and also working part-time as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in general practice. She has more than 25 years experience of working within the NHS and is also a qualified higher education lecturer, having been involved in nurse education and assessment.

Jo is keen on all aspects of health promotion including nutrition, cardiovascular health and has a special interest in the menopause (and is a woman of a certain age!), having undertaken additional specialist training. She is more than delighted to chat about any of these issues on events.
