About the event

Have you always wanted to have a go at wild camping but never plucked up the courage? Been put off by all the equipment you need? If so, why not join us on a one night wild camp in the Lake District?

Between us, we will agree on location prior to the event, taking into account where we are all travelling from. On the day, you will be met by Jo at the agreed meeting point at 3pm in the afternoon.  After sorting out our packs, finalising the route and reviewing the weather forecast, we will head off on our walk through the fells to our makeshift home for the night!  After setting up camp, we will head to the nearest summit to hopefully watch the sun set.  The next day, after breakfast, we will pack up our gear and head back to the civilisation.

You will need to be sufficiently fit to carry approximately 7kg for 1-2 hours on an incline. The route and distance from the start to our camp will be planned taking into account the weight on your back, fitness and previous hill walking experience.

How to pay:

SUP & Summit ask that you pay for your activity or voucher by bank transfer as this method does not incur any charges. Companies such as PayPal take up to 3% of every transaction made and therefore, absorbing these fees means that we have to charge more for our activities or have bigger groups - something we obviously want to avoid.
