About the event

Join SUP & Summit on this memorable guided walk to the summit of Moel Siabod, one of Snowdonia’s iconic, yet lesser-trod mountains - standing at 872m. It has a shapely and distinctive peak which you can’t help but notice as you drive along the A5 from Betws y Coed.

We will meet in Capel Curig and after introductions and a briefing, we will follow a lowland path initially, alongside the  Afon Llugwy. After a short walk, we will start our walk uphill, passing the disused quarries and the unnamed Llyn, towards the start of the NE ridge. The path is well established however will be a scramble in places, requiring you to use your hands to steady yourself and your arms for some leverage.

You will be carefully guided and supported with your technique in order to keep you safe. You don’t need to be an experienced hillwalker to take part however, you do need a reasonable level of fitness and good co-ordination/dexterity.

We will descend via a more of a ‘walking’ route, enabling you to soak up the views over towards the the Snowdon Horseshoe and the Glyderrau range.
