About the event
Join SUP & Summit on this guided walk along this famous 24.5 mile circuit, taking in the 3 highest peaks in Yorkshire. Every year, thousands set themselves this challenge, aiming to complete it in under 12 hours - which, of course, requires an early start! There is no pressure to complete within 12 hours, we will journey at our group pace. We will stop as often as we need to, usually dictated by the weather!
Starting from a small village called Horton-in-Ribblesdale at 7am, we will head towards our first summit - Ingleborough, 4.5 miles from the start. After a short but steep descent, we will stop for a re-fuel. We will then head to the highest of the 3 summits - Whernside - reached by a steep slope. Once descended, we will wander across rolling fields towards the finale - Pen Y Ghent. Once summitted, we will walk back down to our starting point with a swagger, pleased as punch with our achievements!
