A chef...you'll be preparing your own food and drink!

A sherpa...you will be carrying your own gear!
Have you always wanted to have a go at wild camping but never plucked up the courage or been put off by all the equipment you need? If so, why not join us on an unforgettable one night wild camp, either in Snowdonia or the Lake District?

Our wild camping experiences are perfect for those who want to dip their toe into the world of wild camping. All of our wild camp experiences are led by a female qualified mountain leader (Jo) who is an experienced wild camper and first aider, so you'll know you will be in safe hands (with inside knowledge of the best camping spots)! We will provide you with all the essential equipment that you will need (all high quality) so there is no need to shell out for the expensive gear.
As with all SUP & Summit events, for safety and value for money, we like to keep our groups small - our wild camping experiences are limited to groups of 3.

On the day, you will be met by the event leader (likely to be Jo) at the agreed meeting point at 3pm in the afternoon. After sorting out our packs, agreeing the route and reviewing the weather forecast, we will head off on our walk through the fells to our makeshift home for the night! Once camp is set up and we have had some sustenance, we will make our way to the nearest summit, hopefully catching the sunset. Once back at camp, we will fire up our stoves, prepare our supper and have a bit of banter. The next day, after breakfast, we will pack up our gear and head back to civilisation, aiming to be back at the start by 10am.
You will need to be sufficiently fit to carry approximately 7kg for 1-2 hours on an incline. The route and distance from the start to our camp will be planned taking into account the weight on your back, fitness and previous hill walking experience.
